I Love Fall

Things have been so hectic this summer that almost all knitting/crocheting was put on hold.
Busy with my business, trying to sell business/home, and youngest daughter's wedding made it virtually impossible to find any free time. Husband is away for a few days setting up *help* to begin building our new home so this is the perfect time to pick-up-sticks again. Does that make me happy! You betcha! I cannot believe the mental relaxation that knitting/crocheting gives to me, I think I would wither up if I could not, for some reason, anymore!
I began the Aran Pocket Shawl this afternoon with what I now think is my all-time favorite yarn! Alpaca with a Twist....man this stuff is soooo soft and it knits up like butter, I am using the Highlander ( tweed ) in a very pale green.....Don't look too very closely as there is a "pimple in the middle of the forehead", glaring mistake!!!! Argh, I must have been too relaxed as this is a no-brainer of a pattern!!! I'm sure that when it is worn it will never be noticed but as of now it is driving me insane & I'm not about to frog back a few rows....nope, no way! Can ya find it?????

Here is a great pattern. Granny Chevrons from Jan Eaton's book 200 Ripple Patterns.
I am using 17 different colors of Plymouth Encore with a G hook. This one is a bit smaller in width than the pink/grey ripple below and only hangs down about an inch on the sides of our bed.

This is the pink/grey Soft Waves Ripple Afghan, also from Jan Eaton's book 200 Ripple Patterns, that I began this past spring. I had frogged it as I was not liking using an H hook with this yarn....now with a G, I am a happy camper!!! Also it is Plymouth Encore.
This one is for us, hoping to have it finished to use as a bedspead in our new home this spring!! Yes, it is very large!
